FAQs

Q1: What is the typical range?
A1: On level terrain with an 80kg rider and at Assist Level 1 (the lightest assist), you might achieve up to ~85 miles. At a higher assist (Level 3) on the same conditions, the range is more typically ~40 miles.
Q2: Can I ride this bike in the rain?
A2: Yes, the bike is built with quality components, including hydraulic disc brakes and a sealed battery mount. As with all bikes, ensure you dry it and maintain it regularly to keep it in optimal condition.
Q3: Is it easy to service?
A3: Yes — the bike uses standard components (Shimano drivetrain, hydraulic discs) and the battery is integrated but serviceable via the dealer network.
Q4: What gearing does it have?
A4: It features a Shimano 7‑speed shifter (M315) and derailleur (Acera M360), with a TZ500 14/34 Megarange cassette, offering flexibility whether riding flat or climbing.
Q5: Is this bike good for tall riders?
A5: The 28″ wheel size and alloy frame design offer good ergonomics for a range of heights; we recommend checking the specific size chart or test riding to ensure optimal fit.
Q6: What colours are available?
A6: At the time of writing, the options are Black and Coffee Brown, with a “Clear” option listed.
Q7: Does the bike come assembled?
A7: Typically, the bike is delivered with most of the assembly done; you will need to check your local dealer’s delivery/assembly terms, but expect minimal setup.
Q8: Are there any additional accessories?
A8: Depending on the retailer, there may be optional extras such as pannier racks, upgraded lighting, or security kits — check with your supplier.
Q9: What type of riding is this bike suited to?
A9: It’s ideal for urban commuting, city cruising, errands, and leisure rides on cycle paths and mixed terrain. While not a full off‑road mountain bike, it handles everyday conditions with ease.
Q10: What kind of maintenance is required?
A10: As with any quality bike, keep the drivetrain clean and lubricated, keep tyre pressures correct, brake discs aligned, and ensure the battery is stored/charged in recommended conditions. For specific motor/battery maintenance, refer to the manufacturer’s manual.

UK Road Legal Disclaimer

Please note: To be classed as a legal Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) in the UK, an e‑bike must meet specific legal criteria: a motor with maximum continuous rated power of no more than 250 W and power assistance that cuts out at a speed of no more than 15.5 mph (25 km/h). The Rambla Crossbar features a motor rated at 60 Nm torque (which is a measure of torque, not continuous power in watts) and an integrated battery system; however, the published specification does not clearly state that the motor is limited to 250 W or that the assist cuts out at 15.5 mph.
As such, while the bike may be suitable for many users, you should verify with the retailer or manufacturer whether this specific model is certified as an EAPC (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle) under UK regulations before assuming it is fully road‑legal without registration or licence. If not compliant, it may be regulated as a motor vehicle (moped) requiring a licence, registration, and insurance.
Riders should also ensure that no modifications (such as removing the assist cut‑off, increasing motor power, or using a throttle alone) are made that would render the bike outside the EAPC category, which would then require compliance with motor‑vehicle laws, including insurance, tax, helmet use, and registration.
Finally, proof of compliance (such as a manufacturer plate showing maximum power output, voltage, or CE/EN15194 certification) is advisable for peace of mind and insurer acceptance.
