  2. Elegance meets performance — Full integration of battery and cables yields clean aesthetics without compromising function.
  3. Torque when it matters — 42 Nm is plenty for mixed terrain, climbs, and utility rides.
  4. Modular range expansion — Use the optional external battery when you want to stretch your ride further.
  5. Premium parts you can trust — SRAM Apex, hydraulic disc brakes, carbon fork, quality tyres — no compromises.
  6. Versatile terrain capability — Gravel, paved roads, light trails — the Keres Plus adapts.

FAQs

Q: What is the realistic range?
A: Range depends heavily on terrain, rider weight, assist level, and weather. With a 252 Wh battery, expect 30–70 km in mixed conditions. Using the optional external battery can extend that further.

Q: Does it have a throttle or on-demand assist?
A: No — the Keres Plus is a pedelec: the motor only assists while you pedal (no throttle mode). This ensures compliance with standard e-bike regulations.

Q: Is the battery removable?
A: The internal battery is not easily removable — it’s integrated into the frame for aesthetics and protection. The external add-on battery (optional) can be mounted/dismounted from the seat tube.

Q: Can I ride this off-road / on gravel?
A: Yes — this is a gravel bike first and foremost. Its frame geometry, tyre clearance, and component choices are optimized for mixed surfaces, gravel, and paved roads.

Q: What servicing is required?
A: We recommend periodic checks every 6–12 months (or sooner under heavy use) for brakes, drivetrain, tires, and to ensure firmware is up to date. Hydraulic brakes should be bled per manufacturer guidelines.

Q: Warranty & support?
A: MBM / Powabyke typically provides a 2‑year warranty on frame, motor, and battery (check your local retailer policy). Registration of the bike might be required.

UK Road Legal Disclaimer (EAPC / Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles)

Under UK law, for an electric bicycle to be classed as a standard bicycle (i.e. usable on roads, cycle paths, etc. without requiring licence, tax or registration), it must comply with the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations:

  • The bike must have pedals that can propel it (i.e. it is a pedal cycle).
  • The motor continuous rated power must not exceed 250 W (nominal).
  • The motor must cut out at 15.5 mph (≈ 25 km/h) — no assistance beyond that speed.
  • The e-bike must clearly display the manufacturer’s name and motor power output.

The Keres Plus eGravel is specified with a 42 Nm FSA System HM 1.0 motor and a max assist speed of 25 km/h

So long as the delivered unit adheres to a 250 W (or less) continuous power rating and assistance is capped at 15.5 mph, it should be road‑legal in the UK as an EAPC.

However, please be aware:

  • Any aftermarket modification (e.g. reprogramming the controller, adding throttle, increasing motor capacity) may invalidate compliance.
  • Ensure the unit you receive matches the legal specification (ask the vendor).
  • Always ride legally, use lights when required, and wear appropriate safety gear.
