To ride on public roads/cycle paths legally, you must order the restricted version, electronically limited to 250 W motor and 15.5 mph assist.
The unrestricted model is classified as a moped/motorcycle under UK law and can only be used on private land. Public road use with the unrestricted version requires registration (DVLA), tax, insurance, license, MOT compliance, helmet, and number plate.
