FAQs

Q: What real‑world range can I expect?
A: You’ll likely see 40–50 miles (64–80 km) depending on rider weight, assist level, terrain, and conditions.

Q: Can I ride the Revom T1 on UK public roads and cycle paths?
A: Possibly — it must comply with UK EAPC (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle) regulations. See the UK Road Legal Disclaimer below.

Q: How long to charge the battery fully?
A: With the included SANS 3A charger, expect around 5–7 hours from empty under optimal conditions. (Actual time depends on charging efficiency and temperature.)

Q: Is it difficult to service or repair?
A: Not especially. Many parts (gears, tyres, brake pads) resemble standard bicycle components. The motor, battery, and electronics are modular. Always use authorized parts for warranty.

Q: Can I upgrade components (bags, tyres, accessories)?
A: Yes. You can fit alternative crates, bags, or tyres — but ensure they’re compatible and do not exceed weight or space constraints.

UK Road Legal Disclaimer

Important: UK Road Use & Legal Status
In the UK, for an electric cycle (including eTrikes) to be legally used on public roads without registration, tax, or licensing, it must comply with the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) rules. The key requirements are:

  • Motor maximum continuous rated power ≤ 250 W
  • Motor assistance only while pedalling (no throttle‑only mode)
  • Assistance must cut out above 15.5 mph (25 km/h)

The Revom T1 features a 48 V / 250 W motor and supports pedal assist. If used strictly in its legal configuration (no bypasses, no throttle use on public roads, assistance cut‑off at 15.5 mph), it may meet EAPC regulations.

However, if the throttle mode allows motor operation without pedalling or assistance above 15.5 mph, the vehicle could be classified as a moped. In that case, registration, insurance, a license, and MOT may be required.

You are responsible for ensuring your configuration and use are compliant with current laws in your jurisdiction. Always check with DVLA or local authorities before riding on roads or cycle infrastructure.
