UK Road-Legal Disclaimer

In the UK, an e-bike qualifies as an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) only if it meets the following criteria:

  • Pedals for propulsion must be present.
  • Continuous rated motor power must not exceed 250 W.
  • Motor assistance must cut off at 25 km/h (15.5 mph).

The PIXAR Plus7 features a 500 W motor, exceeding the EAPC power limit. While it does meet the speed requirement when locked to 25 km/h, its higher power classifies it outside the standard EAPC definition.

What this means for UK riders:

  • Riding with the limiter active (25 km/h) may still not make it road-legal due solely to power output.
  • Unlocking to 32 km/h or using full power makes it clearly non-compliant — requiring registration, licensing, insurance, and helmet (treat as a moped or motor vehicle).

Important: Always confirm local compliance before using the Plus7 on public roads.
