FAQs

Q1: What’s the difference between pedal-assist range and electric-only?
A: Pedal‑assist combines your pedaling with motor support for 80+ km. Pure electric (throttle) alone offers ~50 km range.

Q2: Is the battery easy to charge?
A: Yes. It’s a quick‑release Samsung battery, IPX6‑rated — easy to detach, charge, and water‑resistant.

Q3: Does the bike require assembly?
A: Minimal setup is needed — just attach the handlebar, front wheel, pedals, and charge the battery. All tools are included.

Q4: Can I ride at night?
A: Absolutely. The glare‑free headlight and integrated rear light offer solid visibility — optimized for low-light riding.

Q5: What’s the warranty?
A: It includes a 1‑year limited warranty from the EU store covering key components.

UK Road Legal Disclaimer

Under current UK law, an electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC) must feature pedals, a motor ≤ 250 W, and motor assistance capped at 15.5 mph (≈ 25 km/h) — and no throttle that bypasses pedaling.

  • The PIXAR Ride1’s motor is 500 W, exceeding the EAPC limit.
  • It's also designed for throttle or full electric-only use, which is not permitted under EAPC regulations.
Therefore, in the UK, the Ride1 is not road‑legal under EAPC rules. To use it legally on public roads, it would need MOT, registration, tax, insurance, and compliance with motorcycle standards — a complex, costly process typically not worthwhile.
